Babatomiwa (Tomi) Akinyemi

Overview
Tomi Akinyemi serves as an associate in the Spencer Fane Real Estate and Corporate and Business Transactions groups.
His practice concentrates on complex commercial real estate transactions both locally and nationally, working with borrowers, lenders, developers, owners, and management companies on various matters including, real estate finance, acquisition, disposition, and due diligence, as well as leasing of industrial, commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use properties. In navigating these matters, he has represented lenders in low-income housing tax credit, historic tax credit, and leverage loan transactions across the country. He also assists corporate clients with general corporate matters, including formation, dissolution, and mergers and acquisitions.
Tomi obtained his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he served as the President of the Student Bar Association and earned the Dean’s Leadership Award.
