Overview

Tara is a full-service litigation attorney who focuses primarily on banking and financial services litigation, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. She represents a variety of clients, including state and nationally chartered banks, non-bank lenders, loan servicers, and debt collectors.

Tara defends these clients in a wide range of claims, including breach of contract, wrongful foreclosure, lien priority issues, and breach of financial documents such as promissory notes, guaranties, and lease agreements. Tara focuses her practice on creditors’ rights litigation in Nebraska, Iowa, and federal courts.

Tara’s commercial litigation practice includes working through the process of complex litigation, including breach of contract claims, business disputes, fraud claims, and other business actions. With an understanding of risk assessment, Tara helps clients with cost-benefit analysis to drive client strategies through litigation. She recognizes that each case and client are different, and the client’s motivation may differ with every case. Tara works to understand her client’s motivations and challenges by preparing strategies and using tools tailored to each case.

In her real estate litigation practice, Tara focuses on the multifamily real estate industry with a track record of providing landlords and property management companies with resources for proactively resolving legal issues and maintaining efficient operations. She assists these companies with general commercial and civil litigation, including representation against Fair Housing complaints.
