Scott Dickenson
Overview
Scott Dickenson brings nearly three decades of litigation experience to clients across the country. Since entering practice in 1997, he has built a reputation for preparation, precision, and focus as an advocate for businesses navigating high-stakes commercial disputes and complex litigation in the managed care, consumer finance, and product liability defense arenas.
Today, Scott’s practice centers on commercial litigation and health care litigation, with particular emphasis on managed care litigation and the defense of consumer litigation, including class actions and claims brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Clients value his ability to translate complicated legal and regulatory issues into clear strategy – and to see that strategy through to resolution, whether at the negotiating table or in the courtroom.
In addition, Scott’s diverse litigation practice has included defending tax preparer civil injunction actions under 26 U.S.C. §§ 7402, 7407, and 7408; handling regulatory and enforcement proceedings involving nursing homes and residential care facilities; serving as counsel in national multi-party product liability litigation; representing employers in employment-related disputes; and advising youth sports organizations on a variety of litigation matters.
As a private pilot certificate holder, Scott exemplifies the shared qualities that define both accomplished attorneys and skilled aviators. The preparation, precision, and focus he brings to his legal practice are reflected in his passion for flying, which often takes him to lesser-known and remote airports throughout the country.
