Spencer Fane attorney Rachael Chubey

Overview

Rachael Gray Chubey provides clients with proactive and reactive legal strategies to address the full range of risks businesses encounter, first working to avoid exposure to litigation, then seeking out beneficial resolutions that align with goals and objectives when necessary. Her wide-ranging practice includes multidistrict, class action, and mass tort matters in federal and state courts.

Rachael provides communicative and collaborative legal services based on extensive experience with a diverse range of clients while conducting legal research, coordinating discovery processes, drafting documents, preparing for depositions, and handling all stages of dispute resolution processes. This includes trials before judges and juries along with mediations, arbitrations, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Rachael’s practice encompasses fair housing counseling, advising clients on reasonable accommodations, and providing guidance on Violence Against Women Act requests and compliance. She responds to administrative complaints from the California Civil Rights Department and HUD, litigates residential unlawful detainer actions, and negotiates repayment agreements for both delinquent residential and commercial tenants. Additionally, she prepares cash-for-keys agreements to facilitate property transitions and resolve tenant-landlord disputes efficiently.

In an effort to minimize litigation, Rachael works with clients to define and assess potential risks and develop proactive strategies to navigate the shifting legal landscape relevant to their business pursuits. This includes an intentional focus on and fierce resolve to win or favorably resolve all matters at the earliest opportunity.
