Megan Adams handles complex commercial litigation from inception through discovery, dispute resolution, and appeals, when necessary. She has developed significant experience in drafting briefs, answers, motions, discovery requests, and responses in federal and state courts, while also conducting detailed research and preparing key documents related to civil procedure, trust asset forfeiture, federal money laundering statutes, merger transactions, and breach of real estate contract. Prior to joining Spencer Fane, Megan worked as a litigation associate at a multinational law firm in New York, NY.
Megan graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn, NY. During law school, Megan served as Editor in Chief of the Brooklyn Law Review, in which she published her note Assuring Financial Stability for Survivors of Domestic Violence: A Judicial Remedy for Coerced Debt in New York’s Family Courts, 84 Brook. L. Rev. (2019). She also completed internships with Brooklyn Law School’s LGBT Advocacy Clinic as well as the New York Legal Assistance Group’s Domestic Violence Clinical Center where she represented clients in novel family law matters and participated in trials in New York state court.
Megan completed her undergraduate studies in political science and international studies at the University of Kansas. Prior to going to law school, she served as an executive coordinator at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C., a communications manager for a former Maryland governor, and a communications director for a national microfinance nonprofit organization, Grameen America.
