Madison Perry
Overview
Madison Perry helps businesses, employers, educational institutions, and other organizations navigate complex litigation, labor and employment matters, and issues affecting K-12 schools.
Drawing on experience in state and federal trial courts as well as appellate advocacy, Madison represents clients in a broad range of litigation matters. Her practice includes intellectual property disputes involving noncompete agreements and trade secrets, employment litigation, class actions, contract disputes, and education-related matters. She also serves as defense counsel in multidistrict litigation involving allegations of data privacy breaches. She gained valuable litigation experience while clerking in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
Madison regularly helps businesses, both large and small, attempt to avoid employment-related lawsuits by drafting and reviewing employee handbooks and policies, and conducting employee training programs. She provides guidance for employers on FMLA, ADA, and other leave / accommodation laws. When necessary, she defends employers in discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, providing guidance and counsel to clients dealing with challenging employment issues.
Madison has also defended schools in administrative proceedings and lawsuits involving alleged student bullying, special education matters, harassment, discrimination, and employment contracts and counsels schools with regard to subpoena requests, teacher discipline, and student discipline.
Madison graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law. During law school, she externed in the Missouri Supreme Court and U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and social science from Fontbonne University while participating on the Fontbonne women’s basketball and golf teams.
