Overview

Christine Chasse maintains a dual-focused practice at the intersection of cybersecurity and health care, advising clients on emerging legal risks while providing pragmatic, business-forward guidance. She supports a range of clients – from health systems to technology providers – in navigating complex regulatory frameworks, responding to high-stakes incidents, and structuring effective litigation strategies. Christine’s clients benefit from her nuanced understanding of both the legal landscape and the day-to-day realities of working within a health care organization.

On the cybersecurity and AI side, Christine, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and Certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), guides her clients with regulatory and compliance enforcement actions and advises on technological issues including cyber-security, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and cyber incident response matters such as actual or potential HIPAA breaches and data security incidents.

In the health care space, Christine utilizes her extensive frontline health care experience to assess and successfully resolve professional liability claims for hospital systems and providers. While her early career included significant work in medical malpractice defense, Christine now focuses on representing providers in litigation and supporting health care transactions and operational planning. Prior to law school, she spent 12 years working as a registered nurse.

Christine completed her undergraduate studies in nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) before completing a residency with Baylor Health Care System. She later earned a master’s degree in nursing administration from UTA and went on to work in nursing education, administration, and management before going back to school, graduating with her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M.
