Partner
Carl Helmstetter, a partner with Spencer Fane, practices with the environmental group and the litigation and dispute resolution group. He concentrates in the areas of CERCLA litigation, allocation, landfill siting and permitting and alternative dispute resolution. Every year for ten-plus years he has been chosen as a Best Lawyer in its annual environmental law section. He is a member of the American Bar Association Sections of Dispute Resolution, Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law, and Litigation. He is a past Chairman of the Mediation Committee of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution. He is a frequent lecturer on environmental issues for various bar associations and conferences.
