Brett Pinkus represents a wide variety of clients across the full spectrum of intellectual property litigation, combining in-depth technical experience with a full arsenal of strategic legal tools to obtain, enforce, and defend creative products, services, and technologies.
Brett specifically focuses his practice on patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation, representing clients in federal district courts and other venues throughout the country, appeals to the Federal Circuit, and in post‐grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including inter partes review. As a registered patent attorney, he also routinely handles patent preparation and prosecution, patent opinions, portfolio development, acquisitions, and licensing and technology agreements.
Excelling across markedly diverse industries, Brett boasts a track record of successful casework spanning medical devices, surgical implants and instrumentation, RFID, semiconductors, circuit design, control systems, digital image processing, computer software, telecommunications, aerospace, automotive, power tools, batteries, sporting goods, manufacturing, material processing, oil and gas, and alternative energy.
Supported by extensive technical knowledge gained during his former career as an aeronautical engineer, Brett applies his foundational understanding of complex structural and systematic design to protect his clients’ IP.
