Overview

Alexis Denny helps clients navigate complex litigation and mitigate regulatory and administrative risks, achieving outcomes aligned with their unique business goals and objectives. Her practice focuses on the health care sector, where she brings a fresh perspective and stability-oriented approach to current matters challenging health care entities large and small.

Following over a decade of experience in government relations and nonprofit management, Alexis served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Stephen R. Bough for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri between two summer associate internships with Spencer Fane. As an intern, she gained valuable experience drafting and reviewing legal documents as well as researching issues pertinent to current litigation.

Prior to attending law school, Alexis was the Director of Government Affairs at the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation in Washington, D.C., following multiple positions as a nonprofit director, program manager, and, notably, a volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps. In these roles, she managed numerous internal programs, developed and executed strategic initiatives, and committed herself to serving diverse communities – dynamic, cross-industry skills she utilizes in her current practice.

Alexis earned her Juris Doctor magna cum laude at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where she honed her writing and editing skills as a research and writing teaching assistant and as Lead Comment Editor for the UMKC Law Review.
