Norm Fretwell Reflects on West Point Experience in KBA Journal

In the July/August issue of The Journal of the Kansas Bar Association, Spencer Fane Partner Norm Fretwell is featured in an article titled “Reflections on Vietnam and the West Point Class of 1966.”

The article features several members of the iconic 1966 graduating class of West Point, and discusses an upcoming Ken Burns documentary titled “Vietnam” that will run on PBS this fall. It notes that Norm was awarded, “among other distinctions, the Bronze Star for heroism in ground combat in Vietnam, and completed his military service with the Army as the senior aide de camp for the Commanding General of the American Section in Berlin, Germany.”

In an interview for the article, Norm mentions that “The characteristics developed at the Academy have empowered not only me and my classmates, but all graduates from West Point, to always do the best they can in any endeavor in which they are involved, to look forward, not backward, and to always have a never-quit attitude.”
