Nate Orr Discusses the Modern Client-Attorney Relationship in Ingram’s Magazine

Spencer Fane attorney Nate Orr recently published an article in Ingram’s Magazine, discussing the necessity of adaptation in the evolving legal industry. In the article, Nate addresses major changes that have occurred in the modern client-attorney relationship and provides guidance for those wishing to adapt to meet clients’ new expectations.

To best stand out amongst the competition, Nate suggests that firms strive for pricing transparency and seek an in-depth understanding of the client’s business. He states: “more than anything, [clients] are looking for a differentiator in what they see as a fungible mass of larger firms that all similarly offer sophisticated and expensive legal advice. They want a partner.” He goes further to suggest that business executives should similarly expect these “untraditional value-adds” from their legal services.

Nate focuses on serving as outside general counsel for his clients, managing their legal matters across all of the firm’s practice areas and ensuring that clients get the best representation possible for their unique matters. As such, Nate is well-versed in a variety of topics, including financial services, labor and employment, litigation and dispute resolution, and real estate. Nate provides clients with a single contact through which to direct all concerns and questions, no matter how simple or complex.
