Spencer Fane attorney Mike Hockley recently was elected President of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL), a prestigious organization of distinguished environmental attorneys.
ACOEL Members include experienced environmental lawyers in the government service, public interest, academia, and private practice fields. Membership is by invitation only through a peer-review process. Members are recognized by their peers as “preeminent” in their field.
As President, Mike will provide leadership to the organization’s efforts to improve ethical practice, the administration of justice, and the development of environmental law. Mike will also assist in coordinating the annual meeting, which consists of continuing legal education programs and efforts to advance the ongoing work done by the committees.
