Spencer Fane Partner Mike McCann was featured as a guest author in the leading craft brewing publication Brewbound last week, offering his insights on how a brewer can best position his or her business for a successful sale and ultimately a prosperous future. In addition to his article, McCann will serve as a speaker at Brewbound Session in San Diego this December, which will host more than 200 attendees from across the country, including representatives from various craft breweries.As chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, McCann has represented some of the region’s most prominent companies and breweries through important business decisions, including mergers and acquisitions. McCann represented Boulevard Brewing Company in its sale to Duvel Moortgat and, more recently, 10 Barrel Brewing in its sale to Anheuser-Busch and Firestone Walker Brewing Company in its deal with Duvel Moortgat. He has been repeatedly recognized by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers and was named “Best of the Bar” by the Kansas City Business Journal.
