Spencer Fane LLP attorney Mary Bacon recently received the Ask-A-Lawyer Community Commitment Award from The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada (LACSN). Mary was recognized for volunteering over 200 hours of pro-bono services helping local individuals who could not otherwise afford representation.
Nevada Supreme Court Justice Mark Gibbons presented Mary with the award at the LACSN 17th Annual Pro Bono Awards Luncheon December 8, 2017.
LACSN helps provide legal services for over 100,000 people in Las Vegas who are often forgotten and cannot obtain help in any other way. The Pro Bono Project coordinates private attorneys who generously volunteer to provide free legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford an attorney.
Mary Bacon focuses her legal practice on commercial and construction litigation in addition to civil litigation. She works with business owners to prevent litigation, and to successfully litigate issues when needed.
