In a presentation at iWerx, an entrepreneurial development center in North Kansas City, MO, Kyle Elliott recently discussed intellectual property legal issues with approximately 30 business owners. Kyle’s presentation covered the basics of patents, trademarks and copyrights, and what emerging businesses need to know to protect their creative assets. The discussion ranged from the protection of trademarks, to registration of website domain names (including comic book icons Archie and Veronica), to patent searches.
