Spencer Fane LLP attorney Josh Dickinson testified before the Nebraska Judiciary Committee on January 19, 2018 in conjunction with the Nebraska Collector’s Association (NCA) support of Legislative Bill (LB710). The bill presents an amendment and clarification to Nebraska statute 25–1801, which establishes collector’s rights to seek interest, costs, and attorney’s fees on certain debt.
Josh is a member of the NCA’s legislative subcommittee, and was a co-author of LB710. His practice is dedicated to creditor’s rights on a nationwide basis, including the defense of debt collection attorneys and agencies with respect to claims brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and other consumer statutes.
