Spencer Fane Partner Jason Smith was recently recognized by the Springfield Business Journal as one of the city’s most accomplished individuals under the age of 40. The annual “40 Under 40” feature honors those who have achieved significant success in both the civic and professional arenas and are considered “up-and-comers.”
As one of the founding attorneys of the Spencer Fane Springfield, Mo., office, Smith’s noteworthy accomplishments include playing a pivotal role in the success and growth of the office, which has more than doubled in size since its opening a little over a year ago. Furthermore, Smith is a vital member of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice where he routinely represents both small and large companies in business matters and litigation across the country. In fact, he has secured numerous defense verdicts at trial for clients facing high-stakes lawsuits involving millions of dollars.
Outside of the office, Smith is a respected and well-recognized figure in the legal and civic communities of Springfield. He is a former board member of Ozark Greenways, Inc., an organization dedicated to preserving the Ozarks’ natural heritage for public use, and a former president and board member of Springfield K-Life, a local youth ministry. He is also currently on the board of directors for the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association.
Smith and his fellow honorees will be celebrated at a reception on March 24, 2016. To learn more about the Springfield Business Journal’s 2016 Class of 40 Under 40, visit the website here.
