Francis Slay Honored at University Commencement Ceremonies

As part of May commencement ceremonies, Spencer Fane attorney Francis Slay received a Doctor of Humane Letters honorary degree at Washington University and a Doctor of Public Service honorary degree at St. Louis University for his accomplishments during his tenure as mayor of St. Louis. Francis also delivered the commencement address at Quincy University.

As the longest serving mayor of St. Louis, Francis led many major projects, including historic renovations, advancing cultural institutions, improving city infrastructure, creating and restoring parks, and providing services to some of the region’s most vulnerable residents.
