Eric Worster concentrates his practice in all areas of estate planning, including the design, preparation and administration of basic and complex estate planning documents. As part of creating a comprehensive estate plan, Eric routinely advises clients on corporate and real estate matters, including choice of entity decisions, business formation, business succession, contract review, and real estate transactions. Known for serving as a trusted advisor and counselor for his clients, Eric effectively communicates complicated concepts into understandable and practical legal counsel.
Eric has broad experience drafting wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable insurance trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, spousal lifetime access trusts, IRA trusts, various charitable trusts and assisting clients with other sophisticated estate and tax planning strategies.
Eric also advises trustees and personal representatives on the administration of decedents’ trusts and probate estates. He has counseled clients through the processes of judicial and non-judicial modification of irrevocable trusts, assisted clients with the decanting of irrevocable trusts and negotiated family settlement agreements to resolve estate and trust disputes.
Prior to joining Spencer Fane, Eric spent time in in-house counsel roles and in private practice, affording him a wide breadth of experience and a unique perspective when advising clients. Eric’s ability to balance technical legal advice with real world business considerations allows him to be a consummate advisor for his clients.
