Brian Memory focuses his practice on banking, real estate, finance and other commercial matters.
In his banking practice, Brian guides banks and other financial institutions through transactional, regulatory, operational and litigation matters, helping his clients to achieve their objectives, mitigate risks, and pursue opportunities for growth. Having served as in-house counsel for a major Texas bank, Brian brings a unique perspective to his legal work in the financial services industry with an in-depth knowledge of the concerns and demands that banking executives and financial professionals face. Brian has guided financial institutions through mergers and acquisitions, core conversions, documentation overhauls, and the effective mitigation of risk. Brian speaks fluent “banker” and is able to easily connect with bankers on industry related issues.
In his real estate and finance practices, Brian helps clients in the documentation of sophisticated financial transactions involving various types of collateral. Brian has closed thousands of loans for clients relating to commercial real estate. His projects include a broad range of areas, including but not limited to builder finance, construction, hotel development, industrial facilities, marinas, multi-family and single-family residential developments, office space, and retail shopping center development and redevelopment.
