Overview

Hannah Becker is a nationally recognized attorney for alcohol beverage regulatory and transactional matters. She guides clients through all legal and commercial aspects of the food and beverage industry, combining creative and strategic instincts with an energetic, detail-oriented approach to licensure and permitting, labeling, advertising, trade practices, product classification, importation and distribution agreements, Tied-House and cross-tier issues, and alcohol franchise laws. She is also recognized for her strong grasp of how emerging technologies and new regulated product categories impact alcohol sales and related compliance matters.

Working across all three tiers of the alcohol beverage space, Hannah’s clients include manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, retailers, breakthrough brands, investors, nontraditional entrants, and unlicensed third-party providers. A dedicated advisor, she walks clients through all aspects of licensure and registration, regulatory compliance, taxation, importation, distribution, marketing, land use and zoning, sales, and consumption. She also provides regulatory and licensing support for transformative mergers and acquisitions in the hospitality industry.

In the emerging technology space, Hannah carefully monitors market trends to provide clients with sound, forward-thinking advice on best practices for sales facilitation, delivery apps and platforms, artificial intelligence, and mobile driver’s licenses and digital IDs.

Beyond alcohol beverages, Hannah’s guidance extends to food, tobacco, fuel, lottery and gaming, hemp, cannabis, and other regulated products. She regularly conducts label reviews for food, low-ABV ready-to-drink products, and non-alcoholic beverages regulated by the FDA, as well as alcohol products regulated by the TTB.

Bolstered by a hospitality background, Hannah’s exceptional client service is rooted in her ability to forge transparent, trusting relationships and her time-tested understanding of how drawing on multidisciplinary industry resources is necessary to provide comprehensive legal support. In addition, she maintains a professional working proficiency of Spanish to better support diverse client bases.
