Melisa Zukic
Overview
Melisa Zukic represents banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions in complex financial services litigation, employing a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to clients’ unique circumstances and objectives to maximize beneficial outcomes at the negotiation table and in trial.
As a dedicated advisor, Melisa applies her experience fostering highly proactive and transparent communication with clients amid high-stakes litigation to also build strong, attentive relationships in her work outside of the courtroom. She provides counsel on commercial disputes related to property ownership and lien status as well as allegations of code violations or complaints filed with the New York State Department of Financial Services, offering clients a clear, actionable path forward at every step.
In addition to her work within all phases of the typical litigation life cycle, Melisa has obtained favorable decisions on appeal in the First and Second Departments of the New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division. With a reputation for timely and effective decision making, she has also managed foreclosure bench trials.
