Sonny P. DeFreitas
Overview
Sonny DeFreitas helps individuals and businesses navigate a wide range of commercial litigation matters, employing clear client communication to identify specific objectives and form actionable strategies for proactive negotiation. His wide breadth of commercial litigation experience allows him to view disputes from multiple angles to select the best possible pathway for clients to achieve optimal results.
While earning his Juris Doctor, Sonny completed multiple private and public sector law clerkships, including with Spencer Fane, where he gained critical experience drafting various types of pleadings, demand letters, and trust packages and attending client consultations, court hearings, and depositions; and the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, where he participated in consumer rights and family law cases – from conducting initial client interviews to drafting pleadings and motions – and specifically represented a client in a social security disability hearing under an attorney’s supervision. In addition, Sonny has spent time working on cases pertaining to personal injury and employee discrimination under individual attorneys in private practice.
