Clients have benefitted from Aaron’s comprehensive experience across business disputes, shareholder derivative actions, real estate litigation, malpractice defense, defamation, trusts and estates, construction disputes, property tax litigation, cybersecurity litigation, domain name disputes, trade secrets, and copyright infringement claims. He holds the International Association of Privacy Professionals’ ANSI/ISO accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) designation, indicative of his in-depth knowledge of optimal compliance and risk mitigation practices to protect clients’ interests.

As a former network systems engineer, software programmer, and data security consultant, Aaron is uniquely positioned to provide high-level strategic advice and transparent communication for clients navigating risk analysis and litigation within complex and rapidly evolving sectors, including information technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. In addition, his project management experience supports his keen ability to define and adhere to the short- and long-term goals of each client matter.

Before entering private practice, Aaron completed a clerkship for the Honorable Francis J. Magill of the Minnesota District Court.

  • Secured a bench trial victory for a large dairy and corn operation in a dispute with a neighboring business over water rights and defended against allegations of crop contamination by GMO pollen.
  • Successfully defends clients accused of using copyrighted images on websites and other online marketing materials.
  • Successfully enforced a multimillion-dollar settlement agreement in a long-running commercial rent dispute through motion practice in district court and through challenges at the Minnesota Court of Appeals and an attempted appeal to the Supreme Court of Minnesota.
  • Secured a client its namesake domain through an Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act action, defending that claim in the face of aggressive motion practice brought by the defendant.
  • Secured summary judgment for a bank thereby protecting the bank’s interest in its collateral that secured a large loan in default.
  • Litigated multiple lawsuits involving cybersecurity breaches and misdirected funds.
  • Successfully invoked the First Amendment in a certiorari appeal to defend a landowner who was fined by a city for flying an allegedly oversized political flag.
  • Secured dismissal of a claim brought against a homebuilder accused of misrepresentation in its development marketing materials and a purchase agreement.
  • Part of a team that successfully defended a $10 million failed audit claim on behalf of a CPA firm. The CPA firm audited the financial statements of a company that later sold all its assets and made financial warranties.
  • Successfully defended against a Minnesota city’s attempt to use an emergency injunction to accomplish an unlawful taking. The city was attempting to secure an easement by temporary injunction over a stormwater retention basin, buffer areas, and other infrastructure on the client’s land, which were the remnants of an abandoned development project.
  • Secured a favorable jury verdict and post-verdict relief in an employment litigation matter after a trial and post-trial motion practice.
