Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce John Branham and Bill Wright have joined the firm in the Nashville area as of counsel attorneys. Branham will join the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group in the Nashville office, while Wright bolsters the Tax, Trusts, & Estates Practice Group in the Hendersonville office.
Both attorneys previously worked for Bone McAllester Norton, which completed a combination with Spencer Fane on October 1. With the addition of Branham and Wright, 40 attorneys have come to Spencer Fane as a result of the move.

A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Branham has tried hundreds of jury and bench trials in the state and federal courts of Tennessee. He previously did insurance and legal malpractice defense. Currently his practice focuses on complex business disputes and plaintiffs’ severe injury cases. He has spoken on trial practice and procedures at many seminars for the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations, the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, the Nashville School of Law and several other organizations.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University, Branham earned his Juris Doctor from the Tulane University School of Law.
Wright concentrates his practice in estate planning, probate law, government relations, and corporate law. Previously, he served as the first Law Director for Sumner County, Tennessee, from 1994 until March 2005, and his duties included acting as the legal representative for the Board of Commissioners of Sumner County and for all departments of county government, including the board of education, the planning commission, the highway department, the industrial development board and the health, education and housing facilities board. He has also represented the Sumner Regional Health Systems, the City of Hendersonville Industrial Development Board, and the Resource Authority in Sumner County.
Wright also completed his undergraduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University while earning his Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law.
