Betsy Garvin was chosen as Vice Chair of the Missouri Bankers Association Bank Counsel Section at the Missouri Bank Association’s Board of Directors Annual Convention held on June 11, 2013 in Branson, Missouri.
The Missouri Bankers Association was founded in August of 1891 during a gathering of bankers in Lebanon. Their membership includes commercial banks and savings and loan associations representing over 2,000 banking locations and over 30,000 bank employees in the state of Missouri.
The Missouri Bankers Association is the principal advocate for the Missouri banking industry and is dedicated to providing products and services that bring benefits to its members. The Bank Counsel Section strives to assist lawyers that represent banks, and lawyers that own banks, to stay abreast of relevant changes in law, doing so in part by hosting a seminar for its members each October.
