Spencer Fane attorney Pat McInerney recently spoke with WDAF-TV (Fox 4) anchors Abby Eden and Pat McGonigle on the FBI search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. The interview was featured on the August 9 morning news.
During the conversation, Pat shared, “It is not a short process to execute a search warrant of this magnitude. The level of scrutiny that it got from the very bottom all the way through the very top. I have no doubt that the attorney general reviewed it, that the head of the FBI personally reviewed it. The FBI director no doubt reviewed this and it was approved by a Trump appointee.”
At Spencer Fane, Pat co-chairs the White Collar and Government Investigations practice group and brings more than two decades of experience as a trial lawyer to his practice, having first-chaired many high-profile and complex cases in federal and state courts. Pat has a background in prosecuting organized crime and public corruption, which gives him a unique understanding of investigative and prosecution priorities and allows him to counsel individuals and companies facing federal criminal or civil investigation.
