Mistler Named New Office Managing Partner in Firm’s St. Louis Office

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Amy Mistler has been named the new office managing partner for the firm’s St. Louis office, effective Jan. 1. She succeeds partner Frank Neuner, who has served in the role since 2014.

“I’m honored to take ownership of this vital role and look forward to advancing on the progress Frank made during his tenure,” Mistler said. “Spencer Fane continues to achieve remarkable sustained growth across the firm, and I want to maintain a successful vision on the role our office plays in those efforts through this transition.”

A partner at the firm since 2016, Mistler’s practice focuses on representing developers, investors, lenders and borrowers in all types of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, development, sale, exchange, financing, and leasing of office, retail, multifamily, and industrial properties.

Mistler has broad leasing experience and works regularly with landlords and tenants on leasing projects for office, retail, restaurant and hospitality, warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. She also regularly represents clients in the hospitality industry, including owners, developers, managers, and lenders in a variety of hotel transactions, including acquisitions and sales, new development, management and other hospitality contracts, and the financing of hotel projects.

“We have long appreciated Amy’s dedicated service to our clients, and she will undoubtedly be a strong asset in leading the St. Louis office,” said Patrick J. Whalen, Spencer Fane managing partner. “I would like to thank Frank for his hard work and dedication in this role over the previous six years. He has been a vital part of our firm’s measured growth and will continue to be a valuable member of the office as he shifts focus back to his practice.”

In addition to her legal work, Mistler remains heavily involved in civic and professional organizations. She is actively involved in Commercial Real Estate Women – St. Louis, serving numerous terms on the Executive Board in addition to a term as president in 2012. She also serves on the plan commission for the City of Columbia (Illinois) and on the board of directors for Hoyleton Youth & Family Services.

In 2016-17, Mistler participated in the Leadership St. Louis® Program, a program developed and facilitated by Focus St. Louis that engages participants in an effort to widen their spheres of influence, develop and engage in authentic relationships with other leaders, learn about critical regional issues, and impact the quality of life in the St. Louis metropolitan region.
