Spencer Fane partner Mike McCann was recently a featured speaker and panelist at Brewbound Session, a leading national conference focused on the business side of the craft brewing industry. McCann offered insights on how a brewer can best position his or her business for a successful sale and ultimately a prosperous future.
Brewbound Session hosted more than 200 attendees from across the country, including representatives from various craft breweries. The program featured a hand selected roster of industry experts and leaders, touching on topics including investment, marketing, distribution strategies and more. As chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, McCann has represented some of the nation’s most prominent companies and breweries through important business decisions, including mergers and acquisitions. McCann represented Boulevard Brewing Company in its sale to Duvel Moortgat and, more recently, 10 Barrel Brewing in its sale to Anheuser-Busch and Firestone Walker Brewing Company in its deal with Duvel Moortgat. He has been repeatedly recognized by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers and was named “Best of the Bar” by the Kansas City Business Journal.
