Spencer Fane attorney Josh Dickinson recently led two presentations directed to attorneys in the collections industry.
At the National Creditors Bar Association Fall Conference in Nashville, Tenn., Josh’s presentation was titled “Could I Have This Dance? Ethical and Business Concerns When Beginning and Ending the Relationship Between Collection Attorneys and Their Clients.” The presentation outlined the inception of the attorney-client relationship, including ethical issues in legal services agreements and indemnification clauses.
At the Kansas Credit Attorney Association/Missouri Creditors Bar, Inc. Inaugural Joint Meeting, Josh’s presentation provided insight on ethics impacting the collection industry.
