Spencer Fane attorney John Browning was recently quoted in a Bloomberg Law article on why Alex Jones will likely be unable to take advantage of his legal team’s mistake in releasing his text messages in his ongoing damages trial.
In the article, Alex Jones Attorney Blunder ‘Dead on Arrival’ in Any Appeal, John Browning explains that pattern suggests that Jones won’t be able to pin a losing verdict on his legal team.
John concluded, “For Alex Jones, he’s got a lot of other things that a reasonable person could say, ‘This is why you lost.’ If he were to adopt the ‘my lawyer messed up’ claim, that argument is dead on arrival.”
At Spencer Fane, John views his role as a trial lawyer to be that of a problem-solver for his clients. Whether it’s analyzing a case’s potential for early resolution through a dispositive motion, working with a client to develop a defensive trial strategy, or putting his extensive writing and media experience to use in helping a client protect its brand in the public eye, John brings a pragmatic, problem-solving approach. John is also a former Justice on the Fifth Court of Appeals.
