Spencer Fane attorney Steve Greenfield was recently elected to the Advisory Board for the Institute of Law and Technology (ILT), a division of the Center for American and International Law.
The ILT aims to provide a premier national and global forum on intellectual property and technology-related legal issues affecting counsel and companies in the digital age. The organization offers a variety of educational programs and activities to its members as well as the public.
Steve spoke to the ILT about why he changed his career from electronic design engineer to patent attorney. He credits his father for inspiring him when he said “[the world] needs patent attorneys who understand and can explain to others, in simple terms, how real-world technology inside machines and electronics gets made and works.”
At Spencer Fane, Steve collaborates closely with inventors, engineers, scientists, startup companies, marketing personnel, and corporate management to create, improve, and establish strategically valuable intellectual property portfolios of patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
