Spencer Fane Welcomes Akinyemi Back to Firm as Associate Attorney

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce the hiring of Tomi Akinyemi as an associate attorney in the firm’s St. Louis (Clayton) office. He previously worked as a summer associate with Spencer Fane in 2017.

Akinyemi will work in the Business Transactions and Real Estate practice groups, building on the practical experience he gained working with Spencer Fane clients during 2017. He graduated from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis this year.

He was a Student Attorney for the Washington University Urban Revitalization Clinic, and he participated in the Student Bar Association, serving as President (2017-18) and Social Chair (2016-17), and the Black Law Students Association, serving as Treasurer (2016-17). During the summer of 2016, Tomi was a Summer Legal Intern for the MacArthur Justice Center. Prior to law school, Tomi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminology from the University of Florida. He spent six months working with attorneys on pro bono services at the Tanzania Women and Children Welfare Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from 2014 to 2015, and he speaks his native language of Yoruba.
