Spencer Fane Bone McAllester attorney Knight Lancaster was recently featured in an article for Belmont University, covering Knight’s alma mater and its joint JD/MBA program.
Titled “Dual JD/MBA Degree Grad Shares How Program Provides Understanding of Both Business and Legal Languages,” the article discusses Knight’s experience as the first student to graduate from the three-year, dual degree program and other information about the degrees.
“Being a CPA, most attorneys I met with put me solely in a tax attorney ‘bucket,’ but I was mainly interested in focusing my taxation and accounting knowledge in the mergers & acquisitions and securities law areas,” Knight explained. “My hope was that Belmont’s MBA program would broaden the opportunity to put my accounting and tax knowledge to use in the mergers & acquisitions and securities law areas.”
