Spencer Fane attorney Katherine Whitney was recently selected for the Downtown Denver Leadership Program.
The program exposes participants to urban issues, policies and practices through an annual project that provides opportunities for research, analysis and collaboration. Throughout the project, and while focusing on inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation, participants are challenged to set goals and enhance their leadership skills.
Titled “The Greening of Downtown Denver,” the 2019 project participants will focus on building a set of recommendations focused on The Greening of Downtown Denver. Through the class project, participants will gain a strong understanding of the City Beautiful movement, the economic importance of a resilient and eco-friendly downtown environment, and the incremental steps that property owners, business leaders and residents can take to soften our concrete jungle.
Participants represent a cross-section of private and non-profit employers and metro-area employees who have demonstrated strong initiative and leadership skills in both their professional and personal lives.
Whitney practices in the Real Estate practice group and focuses her practice on real estate development projects, acquisition and disposition.
