Spencer Fane attorney John Browning was recently selected to receive the award for “Best Legal Article in 2019” by the Houston Bar Foundation.
John’s article “Undaunted: Houston’s Earliest African-American Lawyers,” originally published in The Houston Lawyer, outlines the history of Houston’s first and most prominent black lawyers. Earlier in 2019, John’s article also received an award for “Best Feature/Human Interest Story” by the State Bar of Texas.
