Cheryl Burtzel Appointed to Chair of ABA Cyberspace Law Committee

Spencer Fane attorney Cheryl Burtzel was recently appointed Chair of the Cyberspace Law Committee for the American Bar Association (ABA)’s Business Law Section. As Chair, Cheryl will lead the committee for the next three years, in thought leadership, planning, and programming.

As part of the commencement of her new role, Cheryl has formed two new subcommittees: Digital Media, Gaming and Entertainment subcommittee  and Technology Transfer and Product Development subcommittee. Both subcommittees serve as a way for members to focus on niche practice areas, and stay up-to-date on relevant legal issues.

These new subcommittees join the Committee’s existing subcommittee roster, which includes subcommittees on: Cloud and Enterprise Technology; Consumer Privacy and Data Analytics; Cross-Border Cyber Regulations; Cyber Insurance; Cybersecurity; Electronic Payments and Financial Services; and Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
