Spencer Fane attorney Kate Whitby will join a panel of industry thought leaders for an American Bar Association webinar discussing Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs) on January 31.
The program, Potentially Irresponsible Parties: Forming, Managing, and Enduring PRP Groups, will cover the pitfalls and difficulties of managing and participating in PRP groups, which form to fund and direct activities at environmental Superfund sites. Topics will include considerations for PRP organization, managing people and information, and dealing with dysfunction. The webinar will also review ethical issues associated with confidentiality and conflicts.
Kate will be joined by David Rieser of K&L Gates, John Rosengard of Environmental Risk Communications, Inc., and Susan Franzetti of Nijman Franzetti LLP.
At Spencer Fane, Kate focuses her practice on environmental law, the environmental aspects of real estate transactions, and complex environmental litigation and dispute resolution. For over 30 years, she has helped big and small companies, nonprofits, municipalities, and individuals manage or resolve environmental problems so that they can run their businesses, pursue their missions, serve their citizens, and live their lives.
