Advantage CLE: Ethical Implications of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Everyone, including attorneys who believe themselves to be fair, possess implicit biases.  Furthermore, as the discussion and efforts to implement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices have evolved, reasons to “push back” have also developed.  The one important aspect of the DEI discussion often overlooked is the role of ethics. This Spencer Fane Advantage CLE webinar featuring attorneys Ruthie White and Rachael Thomson will define diversity, equity, and inclusion and implicit bias; discuss ways to recognize how implicit bias may negatively impact the attorney/client representations; emphasize appropriate aids to ensure DEI and overcome implicit biases; and identify ethical responsibilities related to DEI.
