Madison Perry is a member of the Spencer Fane Labor and Employment and Litigation and Dispute Resolution groups. Madison’s experience includes advising employers on employment matters and defending employers in disputes arising from an assortment of state and federal laws. Madison gained valuable litigation experience while clerking for Honorable Roseann Ketchmark of the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri.
Madison also regularly assists school districts with a variety of issues. Her work for school districts includes responding to complaints and investigations from the Office of Civil Rights, responding to requests from parents for educational records, and subpoena requests. She has also defended school officials in suit seeking to hold school officials liable for failing to protect a student and has completed extensive briefing on the Paul D. Coverdell Teacher Liability Protection Act of 2001 which immunizes teachers from liability for harm caused by an act or omission of the teacher on behalf of the school.
Madison graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law. During law school, she externed for Honorable Paul Wilson of the Missouri Supreme Court, Honorable Beth Phillips of the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri, and Honorable Matt Whitworth Magistrate Judge in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri. She also served as a summer associate at Spencer Fane and one of the state’s largest law firms. Madison earned her bachelor’s degree in English and social science from Fontbonne University while participating on the Fontbonne women’s basketball and golf teams.
