Deena is a member of the firm’s eDiscovery and Data Management Practice. She focuses her practice in eDiscovery, assisting with complex and often voluminous reviews concentrating on efficiency and accuracy. She oversees teams of contract attorneys and has experience with project management and higher level review, including privilege review and logging, identifying and executing redactions for confidential client information, general privacy protections, HIPAA protected health data, as well as production preparation.
Utilizing the powerful tools at the firm’s disposal, Deena works to cull and categorize the massive amounts of data generated by modern business practices and record-keeping. She is mindful of the specific needs, timelines, and priorities of each individual engagement and actively seeks ways to minimize the financial impact to the client. She works closely with litigation teams in preparing for depositions, motions, trials and appeals, and has extensive experience conducting legal research on a variety of topics, both civil and criminal.
In addition to eDiscovery, Deena has experience in education law, having spent several years in-house at a large public university assisting with all facets of issues related to higher education and has obtained an additional legal certificate specifically in this area. Her experience includes response and defense of public records requests, data privacy, policy development, Title IX compliance, police matters, investigations of discrimination and harassment complaints, addressing First Amendment and other Constitutional issues, collective bargaining, and various other student and staff/faculty matters.
