Birk Hutchens leads clients through all phases of commercial litigation including construction, employment, insurance matters, medical malpractice, personal injury, securities law, and consumer law. His experience includes the representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court and representing clients in arbitration matters before the American Arbitration Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Throughout his career, Birk has successfully resolved clients’ matters to their utmost satisfaction, including achieving resolutions without trial when possible and beneficial. He values establishing and maintaining strong client relationships by identifying his clients’ goals, fulfilling their legal needs, and zealously advocating on their behalf.
A native Texan, Birk graduated from Washington and Lee University in Virginia, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology. Following graduation, he returned to Texas to attend South Texas College of Law, where he won the Garland R. Walker Memorial Moot Court Competition. Birk later competed on the South Texas College of Law Moot Court team and was a finalist in the Leroy Jeffers Memorial Moot Court Competition.
Birk interned at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where his efforts directly resulted in the prosecution of a high-profile dogfighting case.
