Andy Ramirez is a corporate attorney who helps directors, trustees and administrators of hospitals, group practices and pharmacies navigate a wide range of complex transactional, regulatory and compliance issues facing the health care industry. Andy routinely serves as outside corporate counsel to hospitals, health systems, and group practices regarding complex hospital-physician integration models, clinical integration, fraud and abuse compliance, shifting from a fee for service to value based purchasing model and complying with the myriad of regulatory requirements healthcare providers are faced with on a daily basis. In 2013 and again in 2015, he served as lead counsel in the largest private hospital acquisitions in the Kansas City metropolitan area working with a team of healthcare specialist to secure all regulatory approvals from state and federal agencies.

He consistently gives back to the legal community having served as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, the University of Kansas Law School, chair of the Kansas Civil Rights Commission, and the Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Commission. Additionally, he served as judge pro tempore for the Municipal and seventh Judicial District Court and was a member of the Kansas Supreme Court Board of Discipline for 17 years.

He is a frequent speaker and author on topics concerning Healthcare policy and Hospital Management.
