Abena Tawiah helps clients successfully resolve litigation and transactions matters when reputation and operational continuity are threatened, achieving successful resolutions that minimize legal and financial exposure.
Previously working as a summer clerk with the firm, Abena gained valuable experience across multiple practice groups that informs her work in litigation and transactions matters for a diverse set of clients across a wide range of industries. She handles drafting of documents, entity formation, legal research and preparation for depositions and hearings.
Abena provides critical support in matters ranging from fast-moving injunction proceedings to fact-intensive commercial disputes, showing ability to address the full range of litigation risks that a business might encounter.
Prior to entering private practice, Abena interned for the United Nation’s Population Fund, interned for Tennessee Justice for Our Neighbors, worked at the Division of TennCare, and clerked for the Office of the District Attorney General in the 6th District of Tennessee.
In her spare time she enjoys watching the Champions League, traveling (went to Paris, Interlaken, Geneva, Brussels, the Hague, and London as part of her undergraduate studies), and Frank Sinatra.
