At Spencer Fane, we believe that practicing law is a privilege that carries with it the responsibility to put our talents to work for groups and organizations committed to the betterment of the communities we serve. At the individual level, we ask our attorneys to be engaged in their local communities, with involvement in a wide variety of civic and charitable activities and in 2009 we established the Spencer Fane Foundation to support innovation and arts. This focus expanded the significant commitment the firm has historically made to organizations like the Kansas City Symphony and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
Consistent with our core firm values, the innovation and arts theme enables Spencer Fane to balance support of the arts community's mature organizations with support of incubator organizations. By intentionally focusing on arts and innovation, we channel charitable support into our local markets in a manner that will be both meaningful and strategic.
One of the initial and ongoing recipients is The Charlotte Street Foundation. Charlotte Street is developing talent and providing an environment for growth that will have long term benefits for not only the arts community, but the city as well.
