ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING
The global call for environmental preservation grows louder every day and environmental permitting is a key regulatory tool to achieve that goal. Our clients ask us to handle the often-complex legal procedures which are required to permit facilities under the major environmental statutes, including RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and TSCA. These include projects such as permits for coal-fired electric utility power plants, industrial facility environmental controls improvements, refining expansions, landfill construction, etc. They often include interrelated and overlapping approvals from state, federal, and local authorities under a variety of statutes, ordinances, and regulatory schemes. Environmental permits will become even more important as state and federal regulators seek to restrict emissions that are believed to contribute to global climate change.
