ENVIRONMENTAL LITIGATION
Spencer Fane Britt & Browne has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA or Superfund) lawsuits seeking to recover cleanup costs. The firm also has represented parties in a wide range of common law and contractual environmental claims that go far beyond typical CERCLA litigation. We represent clients in toxic tort lawsuits involving alleged exposures to hazardous materials. We regularly advise clients on compliance issues with criminal law implications. Our attorneys are among the chief advocates of the innovative use of alternative dispute resolution techniques to resolve multi-party issues at Superfund sites, and have been retained as neutral allocation consultants to help allocate these costs and resolve claims.
