On January 18, 2012, at the Overland Park Convention Center, Andrew Brought co-presented with EPA Region 7 Criminal Investigation Division Special Agent in Charge Michael Burnett at the 2012 AWMA Midwest Chapter Technical Conference. Mr. Brought discussed issues and presented best practices associated with companies and individuals who are facing environmental criminal and civil investigations from EPA and state environmental agencies including the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). Mr. Brought routinely assists and counsels clients in responding to criminal and civil investigations and enforcement actions under a variety of environmental statutes including RCRA, the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act, as well as OSHA investigations.
